Amazing location! Absolutely beautiful views! It looks a little dated if you consider major hotels now, but as a whole, the look goes perfectly with the feeling of the hotel
Incredible hotel built on top of a mountain, right off Historic Route 40 overlooking Uniontown. A beautiful building with amazing views, comfortable rooms, top-notch dining, and helpful staff.
No elevator but the bellman promptly delivered our luggage to our room. Lovely sunset view over city from our room. Nice clean room with very small bath room. It would be nice to have a hook or two for a towel or robe near the tub. Limited space for toiletries near sink. A man's room for sure. No makeup mirror or vanity makes it difficult to access cosmetics. Nice to have a relaxing dinner on the veranda at 9pm after a long drive. Dinner was high in fat and sugar. Not over salty. Maybe we ordered the wrong entrées.
This hotel is one of the closest in the vicinity of the Frank Lloyd Wright Fallingwater House, which is why we chose it. We expected to just spend a night on our journey eastward to Lancaster County, but instead we found a very comfortable, historic hotel with an excellent restaurant, comfortable rooms, and wonderful views from their broad verandas. This place is definitely the place to stay when in the area!
This isn't even getting into the lists of activities and attractions in the area that would make the Summit Inn a perfect base camp for a weekend trip to the Laurel Highlands.
The views were amazing and the Inn was beautiful. The service was ok - the waitress may have just been having a difficult day. My husband and I ordered the crab cakes and I expected them to be more flavorful.
